    Summary of Experience and Education

    • High school diploma or GED required
    • Associates and/or Bachelor Degree Preferred
    • Minimum five years industry sales experience may be substituted for college degree

    This is a full-time W2 employee position.  The starting salary for this position will depend on the experience level of the candidate. 


    In addition to salary and commission, the Sales Rep will receive Company Benefits including:

    Job Description


    Hazel’s is interested in hiring an Inside Sales Representative for our Dallas office. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a sales capacity in the freight industry and will bring their own existing book of business to the table.  Compensation includes Salary and Commission.  We are willing to compensate you for any business you bring with you upon hire. 


    The primary responsibility of the Inside Sales Representative is to open new accounts.  This role is based in our Dallas (Carrollton) office but will be tasked with opening accounts throughout Texas and the surrounding states.  From time to time, this position may require in-person visits to prospective new accounts, but most sales activity will be via the phone and email.  Leads will be provided, but the Sales Rep is also expected to generate their own list of prospective new accounts.  The Sales Rep can also leverage an extensive database of dormant accounts and pickup/delivery destinations already familiar with Hazel’s. 


    Hazel’s provides a wide array of services for you to pitch to customers including:

    • Point-to-Point Courier Service

    • Hot Shots throughout the U.S.

    • Half-Ton, ¾ Ton, and 1 Ton Pickup Trucks

    • 24’ Box Trucks

    • Tractors with 53’ flatbeds and vans

    Summary of Key Responsibilities


    Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Contact prospective customers via phone and email to introduce Hazel’s services
    • Consistent and persistent follow up with prospects until the sale is closed
    • Generate potential leads via internet research and third party lead services
    • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports
    • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
    • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
    • Work with Dispatch office when necessary to resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management
    • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
    • Provide historical records and maintain records on area and customer sales
    • Additional responsibilities as determined by Hazel’s management
